Today, I received a request, better to say intimidation on my LinkedIn account from an Indian SEO company for removing the blog post I wrote few months ago, Blog post is a review of the company, of course negative. And, it is a negative review because it is exactly what I found/noticed about this company on the web.
I was willing to write this post after a few days but this intimidation really pushed me to do it now, and I'm doing it.
Google always ask people/websites to contribute quality content to the web, not to buy or sell links and when people don't do that, it either penalize those or remove those from their search index or ban from its other services. But, I have seen hundreds of such examples or even more and of course I can't remember all those, still there is a resource I would like to contribute which has an association with the company sending me the intimidation letter, its a well known website/blog for SEO news/tips, this website has included links to the SEO companies, and of course these don't represent a natural linking interest, these links are sold, have a look at the snapshot
In the past, I have reported 2-3 such websites to Google which were violating the webmaster/AdSense guidelines, But I really don't know whether Google took an action against those or not.
I don't want to write more because in my knowledge the above said is enough..what do you say?

even it endorse the websites which deals in selling and buying links, another snapshot from this website
I have also seen this website putting large graphical ads saying Buy PR4-PR8 links, unfortunately I don't have a snapshot of that.
My intention is not to harm this website or the website owner but this is the only resource I can point out right now which relates to the intimidation I received. I also read articles on this website often, it is a good resource for SEO people.
Now, I want to ask Google why it allow such websites to be in its search index, use its advertising programs such as AdSense and AdWords.
The above two Google services is I think have the most strict Guidelines/Policies for their usage but many people/websites don't care of all those and sometimes may be Google too.
I read and contribute to several webmaster/SEO forums and many times I found people saying that their website has been hit negatively by the Google algorithmic update or has been penalized/removed from search index. If websites can be/are removed, why can't be these.
I also every day see many people saying that their AdSense account have been disabled for no reason, but Google allows these websites to use their programs, there are thousands of websites which do buying and selling of links and running the AdSense ads, even many websites also don't follow the AdSense Ads Placement Guidelines, Google says that it reviews the placement of ads often on the websites but I am seeing many websites running the ads with the same violated placement for years.

Guessing where the link was placed in the first image, it must of seoroundtable.com.
ReplyDeleteThese companies are harmful for Google as well as the clients taking services from them. Definintely, Google will not going to take any action against them as that company is running PPC for several years, as far as i know.
By the way, you're doing great work out there and I really hope to have some more quality articles like this. Please remove the garbage i.e. spam comments .
Yes, you guess it right!
DeleteIf Google don't follow its own policies, it'll not take any action. Even I'm sure Google don't follow otherwise these would have been out of index years before...
Anyway, thanks for your valuable feedback
I've removed what you requested
